KID’S PUPPETRY RETREAT!
We welcome your 6 - 12 year olds to a super-fun creative retreat these summer holidays!
Puppeteer & Soundscape Artist Jane Venis and Art Teacher Kate Cosbey Belton are bringing their talents to the Imagination Academy for a 4-day immersive experience to uplift and ignite young hearts and minds.
DATES: 26-29 January 2026
TIME: 10am-3pm
VENUE: Union Chapel, Lyttelton
Your Child will be guided through a step by step process:
DAY 1: Set Building+ Puppet Design
DAY 2: Storyboarding + Puppet Making
DAY 3: Soundscaping, Production + Props
DAY 4: Final Rehearsal + Let the Show Begin!
The focus of the experience will be the children collaboratively crafting a story from scratch, about their connection with the life within the Whakaraupo Harbour in their own fabulously unique way!
We welcome all parents/carers to come see the final show Thursday 29th January 2pm :)
